The original had a regular complaint of the heaviness but here that problem seems to be completely eradicated. The UPWalker Lite is just 15.5 pounds, which is almost 8 pounds lesser than the criticized version.
The lightweight factor will help the elders to transport the walker from one place to another.
It’s also a lot easier and straightforward to fold the walker. After the side-to-side fold, the seat boils down to 29 inches × 8.5 inches × 40 inches (long×wide×high). It becomes easy peasy to travel with the walker.
UPWalker Lite comes fitted with high-quality rubber wheels on all four sides.
On the front, we get to see the large 8-inch wheels, whereas, on the rear, we find smaller 6-inch wheels.
The original UPWalker came with 8-inch wheels across all four corners, and if we could have got to witness the same uniformity even here, then it would have been totally great. But, nevertheless, for everyday terrains, you won’t even feel any difference.
The front wheels are for navigation and quick turns whereas the rear is for stability. Just like any other walker, here also you get to see locked rear wheels.
If you purchase UPWalker Lite from amazon, then you would get a free storage bag, worth enough for keeping your personal belongings safe.
The bag comes in 16.5” × 6” × 12.5” (wide × deep × high). It’s built out of high-quality polyester and is even loaded with dual zipper, which provides a good level of secureness to the items that you decide to put in the bag.
There’s enough space for your personal items and some groceries. Oh, not to forget that it’s just a snap on and off for attaching it to the frame of the walker.
It becomes a lot easy to control the speed of your walker, all thanks to the dual-action ergonomic hand brakes. You have to just pull on the handgrips to apply the brakes to the rear wheels.
Each side can be separately braked and this helps you in performing tight turns.
Make sure that you apply the parking brakes when you are on uneven terrain or in a sitting position.
UPWalker Lite has got hidden brake cables inside the frame and this not only keeps the cables safe but also looks appealing.
The durable mesh seat measures 18 inches × 10 inches (wide × deep). It sports a detachable backrest, making it a lot comfortable.
The seat and backrest easily fold itself with the walker, so there’s no need to worry about extracting these items before storing or traveling.
Also, there are sit to stand handles and two extra handles to make up the experience safer, smoother, and comfortable for you.
If you have previously used the original UPWalker, then you are going to find the Lite version, a lot lighter, and smaller in size.
A considerable amount of length and pounds have been shed off. The original walker was not very well suited for average-sized homes, but this one is definitely the best that you can go for at this price point!
UPWalker Lite is the US developed and designed product that you won’t regret going for!
The build quality and finishing are at its best, considering the price point. The components definitely don’t give a cheap feel and instead makes the unit look a lot more sturdy.
The major components like the seat, wheels, handgrip, armrests, etc come loaded up with a 6-month manufacturer warranty whereas the frame is backed by a lifetime warranty.
Even on the bumpiest surfaces, UPWalker Lite proved to be a calm and smooth unit.
UPWalker Lite delivers smooth performance on flat surfaces, all thanks to the high-quality rubber wheels and sturdy frame.
The upright feature of the walker takes off the pain from your body parts as the pressure is removed.
The navigation through most of the everyday objects was easily possible. Also, make sure that you keep in mind, that the center of gravity is a little higher than your standard walker.
LifeWalker is a popular and premium company based out of San Diego, and this is one of the reasons that you generally see their products to be a bit on the expensive side.
This is the same reason that we find the UPWalker Lite to be costlier than most of the other similar products out there in the same niche.
Also, as of now, the unit is available only in one size. If the demand for the product rises, then in the future, we may get to see it in a variety of sizes.
But, for now, if the available size fits you and also the price seems reasonable to you, then you can go for this product.
Before you head to make the purchase, don’t forget to share this UPWalker Lite review with your friends and family members.
